Actress. The first Latina woman nominated for an Oscar, for her role in the film Broken Lance in 1955. Winner of the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for High Noon in 1953. Winner of the Ariel on four occasions: 1954, 1974, 1997 and 1999.
