Rosaura Revueltas(1910-1996)
Actress and dancer, part of Bertolt Brecht’s theater company Berliner Ensemble, and cast member of the films La sal de la tierra, Pancho Villa vuelve, Un día en la vida, Islas Marías and El rebozo de la soledad. In the theater she was known for her roles in La desconocida de Arrás and El cuadrante de la soledad, written by José Revueltas, directed by Ignacio Retes and with set design by Diego Rivera. She worked at Manuel Álvarez Bravo’s side during the filming of ¿Cuánta será la oscuridad?, directed by José Revueltas with a script based on Revueltas’ story Dios en la Tierra.
