Germán Cueto (1893-1975)
Painter, sculptor and puppeteer. In 1922 he joined the Stridentist movement. He was assistant to the artist Ignacio Asúnsolo during the making of his sculptures for the central patio of the Secretaría de Educación Pública. In 1934 he joined the Liga de Escritores y Artistas Revolucionarios (LEAR). In 1968 he created a monumental sculpture for the Friendship Route, commissioned by the Mexican Olympic Committee.
