Maudelle Bass (1908—1989)
Dancer and model for Diego Rivera, Edward Weston, Johan Hagemeyer and Manuel Álvarez Bravo. Outstanding figure from the arts community of Los Angeles. She lived in Mexico during the 1920s, where she was discovered by Diego Rivera. Her work was influenced by African, Central American and Egyptian dance.
